Why this exists

Job descriptions are often copy-pasted between templates, written under time pressure, or padded with boilerplate — which makes it easy to miss a contradiction (a "junior" title next to "7+ years required"), an unrealistic ask (15 years of experience with a framework that's existed for 5), or a vague salary line sitting next to a dozen mandatory requirements. JD Decoder exists to surface exactly that kind of thing, instantly, without asking you to sign up or hand over the posting to a third party.

How it's built

JD Decoder is a static site with no backend, no database, and no AI model. Every result comes from fixed keyword lists and regular-expression pattern matching that run entirely in your browser — the same approach documented in the app's own "How it works" section. It has no understanding of an employer's actual intent; it only reports what the literal text says, and shows the exact snippet behind every conclusion.

Who made this

JD Decoder is an independent, self-funded side project — not a company product. It's part of the Gouse Labs family of small tools, alongside Log Timeline Visualizer. There's no team, no investors, and no hidden monetization beyond basic site analytics (see the Privacy Policy).
